Subscription Sentry — Email Sniffer (Browser Extension)

1. What this extension does

Subscription Sentry — Email Sniffer scans your open webmail inbox (Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo Mail) for receipt-style emails and shows a list of suspected subscriptions in the extension’s popup window.

2. What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store, transmit, sell, share, or process any user data on any server. We do not have a server.

3. Where your data lives

All scanning happens inside your own browser. The list of detected subscriptions is stored locally in chrome.storage.local on your device and never leaves it. If you uninstall the extension, the local data is removed by the browser.

4. Network activity

The extension makes no outbound network requests of any kind. The only network activity occurs when the email-provider tab you are already logged into loads its own search results, which would happen with or without this extension.

5. Permissions and why we use them

• storage — caches your last scan results so the popup is not empty when you reopen it. Local to your browser only.
• scripting and activeTab — let the extension inject its scanner into your currently focused email tab when you click a scan button.
• host permissions for mail.google.com, outlook.live.com, outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com, and mail.yahoo.com — required to read receipt-related search results from those specific email providers. The extension cannot access any other website.

6. Third parties

None. No analytics, no error reporting services, no advertising, no remote configuration, no telemetry of any kind.

7. Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process any data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL and the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
